Gold Is Crashing… During a War? Here’s Why

    Watch on YouTube

    Summary

Jon and Pete Najarian discuss oil-driven market volatility amid conflict with Iran and a sharp reversal in gold, silver, and mining shares, citing rebalancing and possible margin-call pressure. They also review strong results from Five Below and DLocal, Rivian’s announced robotaxi partnership with Uber, and NFL personnel moves.

    • The hosts describe oil prices as the market’s main near-term driver amid attacks on Gulf states, while reporting key shipping routes remained open.
    • Silver fell roughly 10%, while gold’s reported decline deepened from about 3% to 6%; some mining shares and ETFs suffered double-digit losses.
    • Jon favors buying severe precious-metals pullbacks, while Pete prefers waiting for renewed bullish unusual options activity.
    • Pete reports just one SLV unusual-options-activity signal so far in March and little recent activity in GLD.
    • Five Below impressed with roughly 15% comparable-sales growth, 24.5% quarterly revenue growth, and plans for 150 new stores.
    • DLocal reported strong payment-volume and revenue growth, with free cash flow doubling to about $190 million.
    • Rivian’s Uber partnership initially targets 10,000 autonomous vehicles, with potential deployment of up to 50,000; the hosts emphasize that the larger figure is not a firm order.
    • The sports segment criticizes Baltimore’s abandoned Maxx Crosby trade and discusses Kyler Murray joining Minnesota and Malik Willis joining Miami.

    1. Welcome back to the Rebels Edge. Today we're going to cover what's going on with crude oil with Iran, the few weapons they've got left. They're not aiming them at the US. They're aiming them at the other Gulf states and that's causing a little trouble in the energy

    2. markets. We'll address that and today's big movers in stocks and free agency on today's Rebels Edge.

    3. >> [music] [music] >> Well, welcome back Pete. Another day, another few rockets fired at Saudi

    4. Arabia and Qatar and a couple places over in the Middle East and I'm not really making fun of it. I'm just kind of saying that's what goes on and that's what people always worried about. But as far as the Strait of Hormuz and things like that, that's still open. As far as the

    5. Red Sea terminals and so forth, still open. But we'll keep an eye on and we'll also keep you guys updated on what it means longer term rather than just short term. But we're a little softer today, right Pete? We are a little bit softer today. The market's getting hit a little

    6. bit here. Crude oil down what? 1% in WTI. So yeah, there's a lot of up 1%. Excuse me. But yeah, I think it's going to be pretty interesting John. I mean you know what?

    7. People definitely are attached to staring at what's going on in the market, but there's they're all looking at the same thing right now and it's not the 10 year. It's really not even the volatility index. They're they're literally just looking at the price of oil and where that is and how that gauges and all the rest of it. So they're what you know when we get this

    8. early spike, that's one thing. We pull back just a little bit, that's a little bit of another and that's kind of the markets that we're in right now. That's because of what we're doing, you know, with Iran and what they're doing, oil is the number one site that you're going to take a look at. First thing you're going to look at when you're looking at these markets.

    9. And then the number two thing you're going to look at Pete silver and gold, your Burl Ives trades. Because after just a furious nearly 50% jump early on, not just because of the war, but you know, they've both been matriculating higher.

    10. All of a sudden silver is just getting spanked today, down double digits.

    11. The leveraged silver ETFs just getting cracked and of course gold going down, not as much though. Gold's going down 3% when silver's down 10.

    12. Yeah, no doubt about it John. I mean that the movement that we are seeing right now, the rebalancing we're seeing right now. Just real quick, I'm going to hit the volatility index however, just because I think it's important that you know, we were in the low 26s John after being in the mid 27s and we've just kind of been stair stepping back just a little bit, just a little bit. Nothing

    13. huge. But somewhat of a pullback. Last I looked we were very close to about 25 for the volatility index and it's it's about 1% right now to the upside. So it's been higher, hit up over north of 27 and now it's been steadily as we've gone through the day,

    14. just kind of easing back John. So that's something pretty interesting. But back to gold for a second because you started that whole thing.

    15. Silver, you're exactly right. You know how many hits we've had in SLV though John? This is the indicator, right? The UOA, unusual option activity that we see and we talk about and that what you and I created long ago.

    16. Um You know how many times we've seen it?

    17. We've seen it one time in the month of March, SLV hitting so far, one time. And you know what? We've gone from 76 down to 63 in the month of March pretty rapidly for silver. That's another thing. And when it comes to gold, you're you're kind of looking at similar things John right now. So interesting to see

    18. that as they kind of rebalance and sort of risk off and do this, do that.

    19. Inflation for fears are definitely out there. So margin calls are probably starting to accelerate just a little bit and I think it's pretty interesting how if you're watching gold as close as you and I have been recently, specifically recently, down another 6% today.

    20. Yeah, like I said it was down three initially Pete and then falls much further and well, we'll we'll cover that after prediction exchanges. I know you guys get a kick out of this, but the prediction exchange Pete, I don't even know if Pete knows who these people

    21. are. But the Tate brothers Pete, Tristan Tate and his brother they're kind of like influencers and podcasters and all that kind of things.

    22. They are very bombastic. They they drive around in, you know, million dollar cars and things like that, have a lot of girls around them all the time. Think of them as a younger version of Dan Bilzerian Pete. All of all they do

    23. is show, you know, crazy stuff and for that reason they're both loved by some and hated by a lot. And so I thought you guys get a kick out of this. Either Tate brother being arrested by >> [laughter] >> You really BET YOU CAN BET ON ANYTHING JOHN, ANYTHING.

    24. >> [laughter] >> ANYTHING. Um So it seems that by the end of June people think that it's almost a 50/50 shot.

    25. >> [laughter] >> So um and they have been arrested in the past Pete or at least held on house arrest. I think in can't remember if it was Hungary or Romania or something like that. But I mean they are, like I say, bombastic, outlandish. They're all of those things and they're just kind of

    26. headline grabbing guys for, you know, because they they tell young men and things like that that they should really be out there going for it >> [laughter] >> But anyway, I think you guys get a kick out of it and if you, like Pete, haven't really seen these guys before,

    27. maybe do a Google search or a Grok search and see what craziness they've been up to. Yeah. All right Pete. I'm not familiar with them AT ALL JOHN.

    28. >> [laughter] >> UNTIL JUST NOW, BUT being 50/50 going out to June is a pretty interesting stat or close to 50/50. That's wild. All right, sorry about that. Go ahead. All right. Well, since you kicked it off, you know, with volatility and then gold and silver Pete, the Burl Ives trades.

    29. Gold miners of course just getting cracked today.

    30. Newmont, you know, because what's really good for gold is really bad for gold when the price goes down.

    31. So Newmont, NEM, Freeport, FCX, the the miners which are my favorite trade in there Pete. It's really GDX and GDXJ, the junior miners. They're down some of them down double digits today. So

    32. massive rally up as much as 50% year to date and then a huge pullback. Like Pete said, it's a question of do you buy the pullbacks and I'm going to say I think it's probably a wise idea to buy on these severe pullbacks Pete.

    33. Yeah, I just love to see the UOA actually start to pop in John. That's the one thing that we're not seeing and as I mentioned, you know, silver we haven't seen a whole lot from that and and GLD, not a whole lot from that. Now we have seen some miners here and there, but in the big scheme of things, yeah, the unusual option activity that usually

    34. leads us in which led us into this for a very long period of time and that great move over the last year that we've seen from gold, from silver.

    35. But sometimes they take a break and that's where we seem to have found ourselves now. I certainly wouldn't be playing the short side of this John, but I sure would like to also see some call by. I'd love to see that happen in GLD, G, you know, GDX, something, you know, like we've seen in the past because that has been the

    36. leadership and it's not been as much the individual names as it has been these ETFs that have been created where we've seen a lot of activity. So that's the only reason I might sit on my hands a little bit and wait and I'd like to see some of these GLD, the 50,000, 110,000 type option trades that we've

    37. seen. I'd like to see that return again before I jump back in.

    38. Well, I I don't disagree. I'm just saying that on these substantial pullbacks, again, take a look at the chart folks. And like Pete said, I think silver hit 121 or something like that, the SLV Pete.

    39. And then massive pullback. But anyway, we can talk about them. How about Five Below? This is a retailer that is is a lot like I guess TJ Max Pete or Burlington Coat Factory.

    40. Those retailers really are selling, you know, if not distressed inventory, inventory that is priced much less than the retail version of the same inventory. Whether it's home goods, whether it's clothing and so forth. I know most of

    41. you know about TJ Max, Marshalls. A lot of you know about Five Below as well and these guys put up some pretty incredible numbers Pete with the sales jumping over 15%.

    42. So a very strong quarter for FIVE.

    43. Yeah, I'll tell you what, they're kind of a tweener John and what I mean by that is you've got Dollar General and you've got those dollar stores, right?

    44. And they don't really totally stick to the dollar that they their name comes with but they they try to and and that's really the goal and that's why they have those names Dollar Tree whatever.

    45. When it comes to the TJ Maxx of the world the Ross stores or whatever now you're getting to another level where you're somewhere between that and getting up there towards you know the the Nordstrom's and some of those because they do get some unbelievable great deals but they're also on some pretty big brand names and so forth.

    46. I'll tell you what Five Below they call it that because they're basically the $5 store right? You know but they obviously can push that a little bit further. This is a stock that's up 10% today it's up 25% year-to-date. The revenue is up 24.5% year-over-year John for the quarter.

    47. That's pretty amazing. Their guidance that they put out there was that sales would be 1.2 billion dollars. That's a big number as well. The comp sales somewhere between 14 and 16% operating income over 300 million dollars. I mean you take a look at this comp sales like you said up 15%. This is just quality

    48. number quality number quality number and oh by the way they want to expand.

    49. They're going to bring out another 150 new stores that they're going to be opening. So things are going pretty damn well for these guys. They're in the right position at the right time given the economy and given what people are doing. We know people go to TJX but I don't think enough people really are dialed in to realize Five Below that

    50. one's definitely worth going to. I don't go there enough. There is a couple around not far from me John but the dollar stores I still kind of stay away from that but Five Below they deliver and they deliver pretty well.

    51. Now they're much closer to being a dollar store in terms of size of the store and all the rest of that but boy it sure is working for them right now and you've got to appreciate what they've been able to accomplish very rapidly.

    52. Yeah and you know anybody that's selling at at some sort of a value or discount is going to be a company that you and I are going to keep our eye on until the economy really you know until gas prices start going back down quite frankly and this was this good before gas prices were up. I

    53. guarantee more people are going to be shopping there now. All right. How about Pete this DLocal?

    54. Now I understand a lot of you haven't heard of this one but I think the number that I'm about to throw out to you will make you say DLocal really? That's that's what they do? I mean they're basically are an Uruguay based company focused on global merchants global this is not just Uruguay folks.

    55. It helps them connect with emerging markets and how much volume what are the total payment volume that they run through this thing?

    56. About 41 billion dollars up 60% year-over-year. That kind of number will get you noticed. And so if you've not seen DLocal before folks there's a reason this one's up double digits today. Yeah they talk about this acronym John total payment volume and

    57. and if you take a look at that you just sort of just shake your head and go really? I got to get to know these guys a little bit better. Revenue is up 47%.

    58. I mean everywhere you look on this particular report you just I mean the revenue for the quarter it was up 65%.

    59. The the TPV for the quarter that was up 70%.

    60. I mean literally everywhere you look you just kind of shake your head and go these guys are on fire very much like Five Below. Both of them are just having an absolute time of it and are going to be an impressive company couple of companies after things change back maybe to being a little bit more in the normal

    61. side because people will now have known them a just a little bit better. They they the free cash flow John has doubled to 190 million bucks. I mean there isn't a number that came out from these guys very much like Five Below that isn't just blowing you away. I mean they're absolutely extraordinary numbers that

    62. you blink and you say wow I need to know these guys a little bit better and certainly you and I will will be following this into the future.

    63. Well let's wind it up Pete with Rivian.

    64. Now they don't they don't get a lot of great news lately but and I I do think they actually make a quality EV product. I'm not an EV guy but I certainly pay attention to what Elon does and what Lucid does and Rivian and obviously Neo a lot of the Chinese

    65. EV makers that can't sell their vehicles in the United States right now but Rivian just announced a huge partnership Pete with Uber where they're going to deploy up to 50,000 self-driving or autonomous robo taxis. Now that doesn't mean they ordered up 50,000 folks but

    66. this order could include up to that many. It's basically an initial phase of 10,000 vehicles which is still a big number and I think this might be enough to keep Rivian above water Pete because otherwise a lot of these competitors to

    67. Tesla just can't compete because they can't get the volume needed to basically drive those prices down and thus their profitability up. So especially with the EV credits gone away. So I think this one is a very interesting play. What do

    68. you think of Rivian here with this deal with Uber? Yeah I think you got to love it. I mean like you talked about they're initially going to start off with 10,000 vehicles but their their goal is to get the 50,000 vehicles by 2030 or 31 or something like that. 40,000 more units by that time because they're going to

    69. launch the 10,000 very soon you know by 2028 and they're they're targeting San Francisco they're targeting Miami. By the way I love the fact that they're targeting them John because you and I have been in Ubers and let me tell you something especially in Miami but I'll throw San Francisco in there as well.

    70. Some of these drivers are you kidding me? Holy [ __ ] >> [laughter] >> I mean these guys you're just sitting in the backseat just going I just start praying and start trying to figure out am I going to make it because driving around in Miami where these guys are all over the place and I don't mean the Uber Uber drivers themselves. I'm talking about everybody around them. I mean it's it's like you know

    71. >> [laughter] >> it's like bumper cars. Yeah Indianapolis 500 or something like that and guys are hitting their brakes and they're flying all over the place up. Miami has to have I don't know this for a fact but they must have the most accidents of any major city in the country because there's more crap going on there but with these autonomous cars the vehicles that they're going to be throwing out

    72. there my guess would be that they'll hopefully be able to stay out of the way of some of this kind of stuff but all kidding aside 1.25 billion dollars is the investment from Uber. So that's quite a number and I got to say you know when you just said well what do you think this looks like for Rivian? I think it looks pretty damn

    73. good for Rivian and I think they better hold on to this thing. They better deliver and if they need to get them you know 10,000 vehicles they better get them their 10,000 because then they can push it up to that 50,000 number that they're talking about. This is a really really interesting partnership I think John.

    74. I was talking to an Uber driver out here in Vegas Pete and he was very worried. He he was a gentleman from Mexico who's been here for 21 years and he's really worried because he said you know I used to be with taxis and limos now I got to drive Uber because the taxi business is practically dead out here

    75. and he said they've got now they've got all these self-driving Ubers all over the place out here already you know I've sat there I think you have too in some of them where the self-driving is actually so much better in many cases than the actual drivers being there.

    76. You know the autonomous vehicles that's going to be a huge deal and they're already taking so much of the money. I mean on a for instance a $50 fare out here folks went all the way out to you know whatever Lake Las Vegas was about 50 bucks. The driver was only getting 16

    77. bucks. Uber's getting the lion's share of that and when they get rid of the driver they're getting all of it. Yeah you can imagine why Uber is so hot on this.

    78. It's not just going to be Teslas it's going to be Rivians and so forth as well.

    79. All right Pete let's take a look at a an interesting thing that I think you kind of brought to our attention as far as the University of Miami not the U but Miami of Ohio right? And how good that basketball team is because they were 30

    80. and 0 right? Yep yep. Those guys 30 and 0 because of this >> [laughter] >> Yeah we got to roll the tapes.

    81. Look at those guys.

    82. That is that is something that might grab your eye by accident just because of these idiots.

    83. >> [laughter] >> You got to look is there I'm not a good fan but is there anything better than a great fan that goes all all out John like these clowns?

    84. I mean I think it's the greatest thing it's just something I can't do like you never I just don't have the nerve to do it I guess because I'm not going to be in the swim trunks with goggles on my head like these guys but it does cause guys to miss the shots right?

    85. >> [laughter] >> Certainly it seemed like it contributed at least Pete.

    86. >> [laughter] >> And you know what?

    87. As a fan you you're excited right?

    88. You're excited to be there you want to get your team in the right way and then and then when you see a guy miss you feel like you did call it cause it.

    89. Maybe they didn't Maybe the guy's so good he's not even paying attention. I doubt I doubt it, but maybe. I mean, these guys are going to grab your attention.

    90. >> [laughter] >> Coach didn't look too happy about it.

    91. That's not the Ohio coach. That's the SMU coach. Yeah.

    92. >> [laughter] >> Oh, that's classic. That's pretty great.

    93. All right. Well, are we right ready to jump on a little bit of football? I know we always have to start Football's 24/7 365. So, anybody who ever gives us black about doing football, you know, every day 4 days a week, they're nuts because that is it all. Especially if you go college and pro. I mean, it it never stops for either one of them

    94. anymore because there's portals, there's NIL, and there's you know, free agency, and combines, and you name it. And then all sudden you start doing a few other things. Speaking of free agency, I got something that I want to and we ruled out on this already once before, but it was really ticking me off, John. So, I

    95. thought let's hit it one more time. The Baltimore Ravens, they go out and they go, "Hey, Max Crosby, we want you to come out here and you know, we're going to we're going to sign you to a monster contract. The trade is to give the Raiders two first-round picks. Two first-round picks. And we're going to get you and

    96. we're going to pay you out the wazoo, right?" So, he gets out there. He's out there for over 5 hours. Now, usually, John, a a professional football team has more money than God. So, what do they do? They send a private jet. The private jet flies the guy out. They didn't do that. They had him fly out one of the

    97. longest trips in the country practically going Las Vegas and going all the way out to Baltimore, right? They They get him a first-class seat, but a first-class seat, as you and I both know, ain't first-class anymore. And it ain't close to a private jet that's going to fly a guy who's 6'5" and 280

    98. Right. And he's actually closer to 6'6", I think. He's a big long son of a gun.

    99. Anyway, John, so who does he see? Well, he doesn't see the head coach. He doesn't see the general manager. He sees a couple of the doctors, but this was a plan. I'm saying right now they they wanted out, and so their doctor said, "Well, you know what? I'm a little bit nervous about this knee, the operation

    100. in January. Yeah, I I don't think we ought to do it." I Really? Or or or are you backing out? I'm saying they're backed out.

    101. And I'm sure the Raiders are saying the same damn thing.

    102. Crosby is a class act, but he was pretty pissed off about this whole thing, John, and you can totally imagine why. They did give him a private ride home after they rejected him because his his knee was a little bit different than they they thought. So, then what do they do?

    103. They don't waste any time at all. That's over. You know what? Trey Hendrickson, here's a contract. No picks. We're just going to do Well, low picks.

    104. And you're going to you're going to sign here with us. Now, that has nothing to do with Ted Trey Hendrickson. He He's just doing what he does. He's a great football player. He's probably one of the best defensive ends in all of football right now. And uh you know, it has nothing to do with him. It has everything to do with they figured out that that two

    105. first-round picks was way too much.

    106. Well, I'll tell you what, if I'm any GM and and if I hopefully someday might be a GM, who knows, but if I'm a GM, John, and I see that happen, I'd say hold on.

    107. You never see me again. You will never want to trade with me ever again because you can't do something like that and have people figure this is a done deal, and then suddenly, "Oh, yeah, even though the the doctor who did the operation thinks it's fine and it's right on schedule and everything else

    108. that goes with it." But by the way, there's more than one doctor that checks these guys out, but only one doctor said, "Oh, yeah, I don't know I don't know about this knee. This thing don't look all that good." Oh, okay. That's the way it's going to be. What do you think of this? Do you agree with me that DeCastro

    109. is the douche is what he is. I mean, what the hell is that, right? Yeah, you're right. Nobody will trust them.

    110. Um you know, they might have gotten out of a deal that was too rich because it was. Two number ones, a number one for this year's draft, a number one for next year's draft. That was too much as well as, you know, the damage they're going to do. Then they don't have a lot of salary cap, Pete, because of Lamar

    111. Jackson's contract. Um but, you know, they they knew that going in, but this guy just uh it's a meniscus uh repair. It's not an ACL. Right. Um an ACL, an anterior cruciate ligament,

    112. folks, that's a completely different fix than a meniscus, which is more Oh, okay, you know, they just kind of clean it up.

    113. Yeah.

    114. And the doctors in Vegas that did it said, "Boom, you know, went perfect. Um he's walking around fine. He's on track for being fully ready to go, you know, probably for OTAs and all the rest, Pete, but this is just dumb. And you're right.

    115. Not that they can make a lot of trades now anyway, but nobody's going to want to pick up the phone when they call.

    116. Nobody. Yeah, and I'll tell you what, uh I wouldn't. I You know what? And I wish they'd all get together and basically just say, "Hey, look, until this guy's got a job somewhere else, I I think we should all stay away." Just because this this hurts the NFL because that is not what the intent was when they went out with this thing. And then

    117. all sudden now they wanted to backpedal out of there. I mean, it's we're crazy.

    118. All right, John, free agency uh it's starting to really slow down, right? So, we we've got the free agents, we've got everything. You could have grades for this team and that team and all that kind of stuff. We're not going to do that. The biggest, most important position in all of football always has been the same thing, the quarterback, right? So, here's what I'm I'm going to

    119. throw out to you. I think that the Vikings may have done one of the best jobs of figuring out who they needed and what they needed. And by the way, the Vikings are doing pretty well. The gentleman who runs the financial side of it is also essentially the GM right now, and he probably will become the GM when the

    120. time comes or whatever because I believe he wants to have that role, John. But let me tell you something, to sign Kyler Murray to a 1.3 1.3 million dollar contract is pretty amazing. We'll see how he does with the old line. Obviously, the biggest knock on the guy is that he's a

    121. little bit short, right? He's 5'10". And everybody gets wound up about that. I get it because that does change a few things. You're not going to be, you know, you're going to be in a different position. You're going to more often be in the shotgun than than than the taller guys are going to be, but you know what?

    122. That's not that big a deal. By the way, they still got JJ. Might trade him if they choose to.

    123. Uh and they also got Carson Wentz decided to say, "You know what? The hell with it. I'll be there, too." And be the backup. So, he just resigned with the Vikings. So, I would say that that quarterback room of three suddenly looks pretty good when it looked kind of empty just a couple weeks ago.

    124. Um and you know what? You and I were talking about this, but you look at Kyler Murray's numbers, and you you've got some comparisons. I mean, I'll tell you what, this guy's not as bad as what people all seem to want to think. And they all want to say that he's this Well, he didn't really look at the playbook. Oh, he didn't do this. Well, if he if he was

    125. playing that good without looking at the playbook, he doesn't need the playbook.

    126. But uh I mean, the guy the guy played, and he's pretty damn good. What do you think of this whole thing with him? Yeah, and he's a number one pick. Yep. Um he's he's uh Uh proved he can play in the NFL. It's not a question, just like Drew Brees. Are they both uh

    127. small of stature? Yes, but they both have enough talent Drew Brees did to win a Super Bowl. And he might have won more than one if they hadn't had that, you know, whatever, bounty gate or whatever you want to call it where, you know, and Sean Payton still gets away with that, Pete. Yeah, I don't like it. I don't

    128. It's a hard for me to to cheer for him as a coach just because of that issue and the fact that he didn't shut that down on day one. And he knew about it.

    129. He never shut it down. Yeah.

    130. Well, but uh I would say when I was going back and forth with Pete, folks, I found this stat uh of through 7 years in the NFL, Kyler Murray, oh yeah, only 5'10". I don't know if he can play. 235 yd per

    131. game is his passing average. And his rushing average, 36 yd per game. You know who he basically mirrors exactly? Josh Allen.

    132. Josh Allen through 8 years averages 235 yd passing per game and 36 yd rushing per game. And the one guy's 6'5" almost 6'6", 240 lb, and the other guy's 5'10"

    133. 210. Yeah. And seems like he can run.

    134. Seems like he can pass. So, I think you guys absolutely stole him. And all the stupidness out there about, "Oh, he's not big enough." He was big enough. He did that for 7 years 7 years. in Arizona with no superstars.

    135. I mean, he didn't have JJ. I mean, I'm sorry Yeah, he didn't have the kind of wide receivers that the Vikings have, Pete. And I know you got to sign resign Hendrickson and all that kind of stuff, but you know, the tight end out of Iowa.

    136. But the Vikings have much better weapons Yeah.

    137. the uh Arizona Cardinals had, and this guy put up those kind of numbers with sort of average running backs and wide receivers and tight ends. Maybe with a lot better of that, if they get an offensive line around him, he's going to put up even better numbers than this.

    138. So, I like the trade. And they just signed a guy, but he gets five days.

    139. They they just signed another guy, a center, who's who's going to be really good if they can get him, but he gets five days to make his decision because he's with the Buffalo Bills and they they get the opportunity to decide if they want to pay him. So, they're starting to make some moves in the right direction, John, over there, which is nice to see. Malik Willis is the second one. I just wanted

    140. to go real quick. Green Bay Packers, right? He hasn't played a whole heck of a lot, but but the guy has shown when he's played, he's played really really well. And when I say that, how about this? He averaged 5 and 1/2 yards rushing the ball. He's got four touchdowns there. He's got six touchdowns with three interceptions. Not

    141. That's not so great, but 68% completion, passer rating of 145.5.

    142. So, he's doing things right and the Miami Dolphins, who by the way, their GM and their head coach left Green Bay to go down to Miami. Well, I think they know this kid pretty well. So, they know him well enough that they decided, you know what? Let's get Malik down here.

    143. And and I think it was a brilliant move.

    144. This kid comes out of Liberty. He was a great kid coming out of college. He's done well when he's had the opportunity to do well. And I think that this is going to be a big move and hopefully if they can keep him safe back there, the offensive line there and everything else with Miami, this kid really has a chance to be pretty special, I think, down in Miami.

    145. So, it's going to be Green Bay South is who Miami is going to be pretty soon, John.

    146. Yeah, well, I saw him play, Pete, when Love got hurt against the Bears. So, I saw him play and he was damn good.

    147. He didn't He didn't, you know, give the game away or anything else. He moved that team just like Love was moving the team against a very good Bears defense.

    148. And then, you know, Caleb ended up having magic at the end of the game against Green Bay twice.

    149. But, yeah, I think I think this is going to be a good spot for Malik and I I look forward to watching him play. A lot of people will say, "Where did he come from?" And when they when they see where he came from versus Tua, who good kid, also, but you know, just took too many

    150. knocks to the head, quite frankly. And one more of those and, you know, he might not ever be playing again. I don't mean because they scrambled his brain, but, you know, the team might just say, "We can't risk it putting you out on the field." Because we're going to get sued at some point or whatever.
