Market Reversal SHOCK: Oil, War & a Massive Turnaround

    Watch on YouTube

    Summary

The hosts discuss an intraday market reversal amid Iran-related conflict, oil-price volatility and easing demand for downside protection. Stock coverage focuses on Venture Global’s rally, Estée Lauder’s acquisition-related decline, Fubo’s reverse split and Tesla’s resilience, followed by a sponsored Immersed segment and college basketball and NFL commentary.

    • The S&P 500 and Dow recovered into positive territory after an early selloff; the hosts cautioned against overreacting to oil-driven market moves.
    • WTI crude traded around $89–$92, while the VIX retreated from above 27 to approximately 25.75.
    • Prediction-market discussion centered on when the DHS shutdown might end and the impact of missed paychecks on TSA workers.
    • Venture Global benefited from concerns over Qatari LNG supplies; the hosts highlighted repeated bullish options activity and a roughly 150% year-to-date gain.
    • Estée Lauder fell sharply as investors questioned a potential $10 billion cash-and-stock acquisition of a Spanish beauty company.
    • Fubo’s apparent price surge reflected a 1-for-12 reverse stock split, not a comparable increase in shareholder value.
    • Tesla held gains despite early market weakness, with the hosts citing a February rebound in European EV registrations.
    • The Immersed promotion included disclosures that the presenter was a shareholder, paid consultant and paid promoter.

    1. On today's Rebel's Edge, we're going to describe the turnaround that has occurred so far, where it might be going next, and we've got prediction markets as well as Pete's Rebel Sports on today's Rebel's Edge.

    2. >> [music] [music] [laughter] >> More people, and it happens to you and I both, probably about equally, John.

    3. I got on the plane yesterday. Guy looks at me as I'm walking down, and he goes, "Hey, it's not an option." It's not an option.

    4. I was coming out of Naples, actually.

    5. It's Fort Myers or whatever, but we were down there in Naples as well, and I'll tell you what, it was it was classic. We had all kinds of characters in that, you know, I mean, the spring breakers, and then there's other guys out there, and it's it's a fun small world sometimes as you're on those planes. It's pretty great.

    6. And uh I think both uh Homan and Trump, Pete, did a decent job explaining how they were going to use uh the ICE at the airports to cut the lines down. And it has worked. Atlanta went from 3 hours to less than 30 minutes.

    7. And the reason for it, well, TSA, unfortunately, had the uh uh responsibility for when you come down the escalators, Pete, when you're leaving the airport to make sure you don't somebody doesn't sneak back up.

    8. They have to have a security person there. And by the rules, it had to be TSA. It couldn't be a private security firm or anything else. But, since these guys are the government, that's what the ICE guys are doing. So, they're basically down there just making sure nobody goes in the exit, and uh they're not screening. You know, the guy the TSA

    9. guys were screening, but now the guys that used to be showing up and just sitting down there bored out of their skull on that particular shift are now up there helping with the screening.

    10. Amazing how little thought goes into that and how it works, isn't it? Yeah, it is. And by the way, yesterday I I was high-fiving those guys as I walked by them. Because, you know what? People can have whatever side of the aisle they want, whatever that forget it. But, the reality is these guys are Americans that are working, right? You know, they're working for us. So, I I just told them I

    11. said, "Hey, man, we really appreciate what you're doing." I mean, you know what? If you If you don't want to appreciate them, then I have an issue, because these guys are told what to do, and they're doing the work that they're asked to do. So, uh don't take it out on those guys by any means, that's for sure, cuz they're doing the right thing. Yep. And the TSA

    12. guys just showing up, haven't been paid in 2 weeks. I hope Elon spiffs all of them. He said something about that, right? You saw that.

    13. >> done it.

    14. He's done it. If anybody will do it, it would be Elon Musk. Yep. [laughter] Well, folks, we're going to dive into macro now, and I'm going to say oil, yeah, it always plays a part of this because of the ongoing war, but obviously with the outcomes unknown, but

    15. a pretty severe damage done to Iran and their ability to wage war, I think that's why we've seen the market turn around rather dramatically today, Pete, cuz we were down 500, gave almost all of yesterday's gain back, and now we're back in positive territory for the S&P,

    16. and the Dow, and the Nasdaq's fighting as well. Yeah, happy to see that. Uh you know, these markets right now, because of the focus, obviously, on the right thing, I mean, which is what's going on over there, right? With the straits and everything else, and obviously with Iran. Uh you look at crude oil, and you say, "Well, if if it's up if it's going to be up 4 and 1/2, 5%, something like

    17. that, that is going to be something that people are going to look, and their their first reaction is, well, I need to sell." Well, maybe, but uh you know, this thing can trade as well.

    18. Keep an eye on that. So, WTI, I mean, it's somewhere between, call it 89, 92, whatever uh right now. I think it's I think it's smart to keep an eye on it. I think it there is going to be triggers, and people are going to react to it, uh probably overreact to it quite a quite a bit as well. So, I think that that's just something it's another one of those

    19. things where as you come into the market in the early morning before the the market open, so you at least can kind of clear your your head a little bit. Yeah, you're going to want to want to know where that that crude is because the natural reaction that people are having right now is, well, uh I'm going to, you know, sell.

    20. >> [laughter] >> You know, sell my stuff. Well, that worked, like you said, pretty early this morning, John. That worked until it didn't.

    21. >> [laughter] >> And we're seeing a pretty nice recovery, like you just said, off of those lows, with the S&P in positive territory now as well. We're not saying that it's screaming to the upside. We're just saying it's a race to a lot of that negative, right, John?

    22. Yep, that's exactly right, Pete. And uh as far as the VIX, the VIX popped up over 27 today, Pete. I don't know if it traded 28 or not, but um it popped up, of course, people were seeking protection. That's what happens. And uh then it came right back down, and it's

    23. down on the day now at about 25.75, something like that. Yep, and that's kind of the range right now, John. It's literally barely over a point and a half range, something like that, maybe, because 25.70, somewhere in there, that's sort of the lower end. It didn't quite get to 28 on the higher end, but,

    24. you know, not that far away. But, interesting to see where it is and the productive talks that are going on and and and all the rest of it. You know, I'll just throw this out, too, John, with the VIX. Okay, 52-week low, 13s, somewhere in the 13s. 52-week high, 60.

    25. So, here we are at 26. Should be you be ultra nervous? I wouldn't say ultra nervous. I would say, keep an eye on it, and there's going to be some movement.

    26. It's going to have some reactions, but just remember what that means with a 26 means, uh what? A little over a 1% move?

    27. Okay.

    28. Well, let's talk a little bit, Pete, about uh the prediction markets and the DHS shutdown that we sort of opened with, because, of course, the main impact right now is TSA agents not being paid now for two paychecks, two pay periods.

    29. So, not 2 weeks, two pay periods. So, that's pretty bad, but uh as you can see on uh Polymarket, they're saying basically by the end of March, it's slightly higher odds that the shutdown ends by the end of March um

    30. after March 31st, it's almost equal.

    31. It's 38% chance. But, uh the uh the numbers have come way down, Pete. Mhm.

    32. Absolutely, they have. And it's, you know, it's interesting seeing this whole thing just play before our eyes in terms of these these these Polymarkets and so forth. I mean, it's just uh it's pretty incredible. But, like you said, the highest, you know, prediction right now is that 40% that happens somewhere pretty soon. And and I think we'd all be

    33. looking forward to that, and obviously the TSA guys, but there's a there's a lot of folks out there that are I would look forward to this thing and saying, "Hey, look, let's get this thing started again. Let's get that whatever needed to be done, you know, negotiated to be done, let's get that done, and let's let's pay the people who are working, you know, like you were just mentioning

    34. with TSA, people who are working without a paycheck, and that's gone for 2 weeks.

    35. That's not the way it should work.

    36. Well, on today's Venture Corner, I'm going to tell you a little bit about a gentleman that I sat down with at the New York Stock Exchange, Renji Bijoy.

    37. And Renji is the founder of Immersed, and his company, Immersed, is developing the next generation of augmented and virtual reality tech that leans in to how people work and how they play.

    38. Immersed is a high-tech visor. It is a dream come true for folks that want to take their work with them. Because, imagine you put on this visor, and now all of a sudden you can have a whole wall of screens in front of you. Because those uh goggles, that visor, lets you

    39. do that. Now, you could have something like the Apple product, but the Apple product is $4,000.

    40. This product is priced right around $1,000, and it caught my attention as well as my brother Pete and Mark La Presti, because um they already have 1.5 million users, and it is the most downloaded app in the AR/VR space. So,

    41. if you want to join an impressive group of investors, like Intel's former CEO and Tim Tebow, well, click the link below to learn more. Uh however, you've got to be aware that on Thursday, the 26th, the company's valuation will be

    42. increasing. So, if you're somebody who would like to participate in this, as we are, I am a shareholder, I am a paid consultant to them, as well as I'm paid to promote this, but this is one once you see it, folks. If you click that link and you see what we're talking about, this is something that's

    43. game-changing. And like I say, already has 1.5 million downloads. So, please check out Immersed from Renji Bijoy and his company, because this is something special. Uh let's talk about Venture Global, Pete. Uh that's our first stock

    44. of the day, folks, and a lot of you are aware of LNG, which is liquefied natural gas. It's also a company, the acronym for a company that, of course, is in that space of LNG. Well, that's what Venture Global does, folks. They are a

    45. provider of liquefied natural gas, and they are up today because, quite frankly uh of some of the attacks that Iran has been putting on Qatari uh supplies and so forth and perhaps getting the Qataris to not export

    46. because they're worried about the ship getting hit or whatever. So, that pumps up natural gas. And I'd say this one Pete, we had unusual activity in it. And that unusual activity was just last week. Uh they were buying these calls.

    47. The calls that expire this week, folks.

    48. They expire the 20th of March. And here we are uh they were uh buying those last week, the ones that did expire. And they bought new ones, Pete, right after this one.

    49. So, this is the first one that they were buying the day after we posted this. And now they've bought even higher ones uh most recently. Yeah. Yeah, and they're doing the right thing, John. It's Look at the trajectory of this thing. I mean, it's absolutely phenomenal. The year-to-date numbers well, not so bad.

    50. It's up 150% year-to-date. So, I I'd say that's a pretty pretty nice run to the upside. 82% in the last month is what VG has done. So, yeah, this Venture Global, John, is uh is really having a pretty darn good one. We've had some UOA like you mentioned, unusual option activity.

    51. I think that's a big deal as well. So, you know what what when you when you take a look at what's going on we were talking about oil just a minute ago and how the that's influencing things. And then of course with this LNG very very interesting. And these guys are are one of the bigger players. So, great to see this especially with that

    52. unusual option activity tied to it, John, because it's a great trigger for us to say, you know what? It sure does look like somebody out there thinks that this thing's got a little bit more promise to go to the upside. And boy, did it ever. And that's despite the fact that it already had this big run up to to this level at least last week and on

    53. Monday and now Tuesday. This is a stock that's been very very impressive. And if you're in the energy space looking around for what you'd want to trade right now, I would say keep an eye on this name. It's The reaction that we're seeing out of this name is far larger than the reaction in a lot of the other energy names.

    54. Yeah. And this one in particular, Pete, Venture Global symbol VG is a frequent flyer on unusual option activity. And [clears throat] the fact that it has it moved last week and it's moving again this week to the upside. We had another one hit on

    55. last week that was further out. That was March 27th that hit. And that one was basically at the 20 strike in March.

    56. Yeah.

    57. >> 27th, which is, you know, this coming Friday. All right. Let's hit Estee Lauder, Pete, because EL is one of the largest beauty companies on Earth.

    58. They're apparently going after a beauty company in Spain. And that was kind of leaked yesterday afternoon. Stock fell out of bed. Fell like 9% and then when they more or less said, yeah, we are looking for a cash and stock transaction, it fell another 8 or 9%

    59. today, Pete, because people were like, really? So, you're not doing that great and you think maybe spending a lot of your available cash and your credit to buy another company is your best move?

    60. So, that's why they were hitting the exits with their elbows, Pete. Yeah, absolutely, John. I mean, that chart says it all. And it they they're getting absolutely hammered. And why why wouldn't they be? Then when you look back post-pandemic, John, unfortunately for beauty that it's not going well.

    61. People have cut back. I mean, they're cutting back in all kinds of different areas, but they're cutting back on the beauty side of it. And because of that, these guys putting out a $10 billion deal together, that seems to me to be a little bit overpriced right now, John, given the fact of where we are and some of the pullbacks that we've had since the

    62. pandemic. So, um it's one of those things. And you know what? Are they going to do it again? The previous one was Gucci and they they sold to L'Oreal. Well, good for Gucci to do that. They sent their beauty side of things over to L'Oreal. I just think right now that the right thing would be to just kind of probably sit on your hands and not make any kind

    63. of acquisitions, but obviously Estee Lauder, maybe they're looking at the long ball, John. Maybe they're looking at for the the longer term and it's going to come back. Um that's a possibility, I suppose. But when you've got a lot of other things that are happening right now that are are making costs go a little bit higher, I'm not so sure that this is a great move right now. And to use some of the

    64. cash and everything else that goes with this whole thing with a $10 billion buy, I don't know if that makes sense. I don't think it does.

    65. Yeah, well, apparently a lot of people agree with that assessment, Pete. All right. Let's talk about Fubo.

    66. Um Fubo TV because it's a big uh know, they they put all kinds of sports. I guess 55,000 uh broadcasts, Pete, on their Fubo platform. That's over the course of a year, of course. But uh the fact that people might look at it and maybe even

    67. some of those four-letter networks might say, "OH MY GOD, IT'S UP 1,000%." NO, it isn't.

    68. No, it isn't. It is a uh a one for 12 reverse stock split. So, it went from a dollar to $12. You guys see how that works?

    69. >> [laughter] >> And um when they do that, of course, you get 1/12 of the shares because otherwise, you know, we'd all be rich, right?

    70. Anybody that owned it from a buck, IT GOES TO 12.

    71. THAT'S FANTASTIC.

    72. >> IT'S A BIG WIN. A reverse stock split, it does absolutely nothing. Doesn't change anything except you've got a lot fewer shares out there now, Pete, at 12 times the price. The board had previously approved this. And you wouldn't believe the number of people I saw that were saying, "WHAT ABOUT FUBO?

    73. WHAT'S GOING ON THERE?" >> [laughter] >> NOTHING.

    74. YEAH, YOU'RE EXACTLY RIGHT, JOHN. And there was probably a really good reason there's a lot of shorts in this one. 15 to 16% were on the short side of Fubo.

    75. So, we'll see if there's any kind of interest at all in buying some back, John, after this reverse split. I I don't know.

    76. I think that there's a possibility that this thing has a brief move and then starts to really start to pull back.

    77. It'll be interesting to see how it goes, but I think it's great that you at least explained it to people so that they don't think this thing actually did go up 500% or 1,000% or whatever the number is.

    78. Um I don't know about you, but when's the last time you've even watched anything on Fubo?

    79. Have you? Cuz I never have.

    80. It doesn't mean it's a bad platform or anything. I just, you know, I watch what I watch, Pete, and I end up you know, most of the sports I watch are the ones we talk about here on the show.

    81. Football, basketball, hockey, baseball.

    82. I don't watch a lot of cricket.

    83. >> [laughter] >> Neither does anybody else.

    84. Apparently in India they do, Pete. Well, in India that's true. That's true. And they got a lot of a lot of people. So, yeah, sure.

    85. >> [laughter] >> 1.4 billion. All right. One last one, Pete, Tesla. Why? Because when we were down 500 today, Tesla was up. And it's still up. And why is it up? Well, they're holding on to gains because in

    86. the EU, apparently car registrations for EVs uh made a big comeback. And of course, uh some of them could be Chinese models.

    87. We know that. Uh they're not possible to have Chinese models in the US cuz they don't meet our stricter standards. But I've been in Europe. I've been in Armenia. There were a lot of Chinese EVs there, Pete, in your event. But uh Tesla, a big beneficiary of the EV move

    88. by a lot of Europeans that might not have been so dumb because electricity didn't go up by, you know, whatever, 25% in the month. But the price of their energy, not our energy here, but their energy in Europe blew up to the upside.

    89. Yeah, it it is pretty amazing. And you brought up that BYD, John. That that one's pretty interesting. The Build Your Dreams >> [laughter] >> Chinese EV.

    90. Um but apparently, you know, I know it doesn't hit our standards, but apparently that that is something that's pretty exciting. And they're not the only ones, of course. Of course, Tesla's going to be one of them as well. So, yeah, this makes a little bit of sense, I think, John. You know, is Tesla killing it? They're not killing it right now. Matter of fact, year-to-date they're down about 10 to 14%, something

    91. close to that number. Um but you look at the EU and you look at Germany, you look at Italy, you look at France, you look at some of these. Um you know what? January not so great, but a pretty nice rebound in February. So, uh here we are in into March and we'll find out not too long from now how it looks for March. But we're certainly seeing that that people are attracted to

    92. the EV vehicles.

    93. Um and it's something I think, you know, they got that battery electric vehicle, the BEV as well, John. That's another another way of describing this whole thing. And talk about registrations going up and through the roof at a at a pretty unbelievable pace. It's really really pretty impressive over there in Europe right now.

    94. Yeah. And PHEVs, Pete, I've even looking at one. Um really?

    95. >> Because that is not That's a plug-in hybrid electric, folks, PHEV.

    96. And some of those get into the 60s for miles per gallon. And so uh you know, it just depends how convenient it is and whether or not you have a garage, for instance, uh because uh you know, if if you're using a plug-in EV, you pretty much need to plug it in

    97. almost every day. Not because the battery is not good, but because it's not like a Tesla. It's not made to go 200 miles. It's made to go 30 miles. But you can do that on a lot of electric for your trips around the city. And then the it kicks in for your longer trips as well.

    98. But only for about 30 miles. Mhm. So, anyway, I'm kind of anxious to try out one of those to test drive one, Pete.

    99. >> [laughter] >> Let's let's take a look at a little sports, which I know is Pete's one of his favorite parts of the show every day.

    100. >> [laughter] >> This is your coach at Iowa, Pete. And let's see what the broadcaster says about the Iowa team and the Iowa coach.

    101. He's special.

    102. >> college basketball's Kurt Signetti story. Ben McCollum has just got Iowa yesterday back in the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 1999. It's his first year at the school. He's 44 years old. He was born in Iowa City. So, he's a local guy. Coming out of high school, you know, he was a whatever basketball player, went to junior college, played two years there, then went to Division

    103. Two Northwest Missouri State, played two years there.

    104. >> he gets into coaching profession. And at the age of 27, yes, 27, he is named the head coach at Northwest Missouri State, this Division Two school. In his final 11 seasons at Northwest Missouri State, he won 11 straight conference championships. In the final six seasons,

    105. his record was 253 and 21. Look me up. With six conference championships 253 and 21.

    106. So, then he gets the Drake job. In year one at Drake, he goes 31 and four, wins a conference championship, advances to the round of 32 to the NCAA tournament by beating Missouri out of the SEC with a roster featuring most prominently Division Two players that he brought from Northwest Missouri State. So, then the Iowa job opens and they're like, hold up, this guy just went 31 and four

    107. at Drake. He was born in Iowa City.

    108. Let's offer him the job. And >> Let's bring him up. before selection Sunday, he won 21 games even though he has a roster that had no business winning 21 games in the Big Ten. Gets a nine seed, beats a better seeded Clemson team in the round of 64, beats a top seeded Florida team in the round of 32.

    109. He has his hometown school now in the Sweet Sixteen for the first time this century. And that, as they say, is is a ball coach. This is college basketball's Kurt Signetti story. That is a ball coach. He is. That's a Kurt Signetti story, isn't it? That is. In one year.

    110. Yeah. Not only did he turn them around in one year, but he brought in, you know, kids that were performers. Yeah. At D2, but never were offered D1s. And he said, come on with me, I'll get you D1. And boy, he did a hell of a job there, I must say.

    111. Iowa looks damn good. And he's even a little younger than Signetti.

    112. >> [laughter] >> Yeah.

    113. Pretty impressive. I'll tell you what, I love those kind of stories. I mean, you know, and and the other fun thing is, and we talked about this before, John, especially when I'm there on that great streak, but Nebraska. I mean, not a basketball school, Iowa, sometimes a basketball school, but hasn't been in a long time, hasn't been really relevant

    114. for a while. And now this guy steps in there and voila, here he is, right? I mean, so pretty amazing. I mean, that's that's the beauty of the NCAA tournament is, you know, you find out more and more and more about in depth about some of these coaches, but players and and schools. Schools that you you just don't ever think about and all sudden you look

    115. at them and you go, wow, those guys are pretty damn good, right?

    116. >> [laughter] >> And Iowa Iowa's one of those. So, really, really cool. I I I love that story. And John John gets all the credit for that cuz he does all the videos and then I pull up a couple of ideas. So, I'm going to go to free agency, John, in the NFL. Okay. It's getting slow, right?

    117. I mean, we've we've the big dogs basically have been taken care of. But now it's the old dogs because that's really who's left. And if you think I'm wrong, how about this?

    118. Here's the quarterback lineup that's still available. Russell Wilson, 37. Joe Flacco, 41. Kirk Cousins, 38. Oh, and a guy that people mostly should know, Aaron Rodgers, 42. Now, nobody's jumped really on these four unless they've done it in the last 24 hours or whatever, but

    119. um I haven't seen that. Maybe it's happened. And the other side of it the coin, John, is the best side I think that's still left and not old, some of them are, but O line. And I don't understand why Minnesota did go out and get a big offensive lineman from Buffalo. And and it was a genius move, they needed it

    120. because the entire offensive line needs reworking. Too many injuries and injuries that will occur again this year. It's not like when when a guy's got multiple injuries in a single year, when he comes back, he's going to get all six 17 games. Most likely he's not.

    121. And I think that's the problem and the Vikings need to solve that problem, but Taylor Decker, I think you like that guy, big offensive tackle who plays for the Detroit Lions, John, 32 years old.

    122. Uh You've got Cam Robinson. Now, I like this kid. He played with the Vikings for a little while. He's not great, he could almost be a better guard, but plays tackle. 6'6, 335 lb, but he's only 30 years old. And last year, John, he was playing, I believe it was for Cleveland.

    123. 92% pass block win rate in 2025. That's damn good. That's pretty high up there with some of the best tackles in the game. So, you know what, I I think that would be a guy that if you need a lineman, Vikings, you ought to think about this guy. We already had him, John. He played with the Vikings until

    124. they let him go and he went somewhere else and he had his best year at 29 years old, he had his best year. There's a couple other ones out there, but I got one last one that you're going to love.

    125. University of Minnesota kid playing for the Baltimore Ravens. He plays guard, 6'8, 370 lb Daniel Faalele. So, let me tell you something. He had his best year blocking as well, 93%.

    126. So, even better. 93% pass blocking win rate. In other words, he's stuffing a guy right at the line of scrimmage and >> [laughter] >> and that guy that's all he's got. So, John, tell me about this one. Forget the old quarterbacks, we all understand they're old and that's why a lot of people aren't really ready to take them, but what do you think about the old

    127. lineman? Even the Bears, as good as their old line is, I mean, maybe you get one more backup or something like that.

    128. Somebody should get at least three of these five guys that I put down here.

    129. Agreed. And they really should, Pete, because um that's going to make the difference. The Bears, of course, lost their center, he retired. Oh, that's right. Perhaps a guard or something that had, you know, experience at center can be moved in

    130. there. And Faalele, you know, the kids out of IMG, I'm pretty sure he's a Tongan or whatever, Pete, he's a South Pacific Islander. And those are big, mean bastards.

    131. >> [laughter] >> Oh, crap. I would love to see that guy in a Bears uniform. You guys would dominate.

    132. >> [laughter] >> And with our running backs, too, because, you know, it of course it makes a difference in passing having a guy that big, but you know, having a road grader like that for those running backs means that the linebackers are going to have to and probably even the safeties

    133. have to cheat up a little to try to plug the middle up because those running backs get through and then of course that opens up your passing game. So, love to get that guy, Pete. Love. And but who knows?

    134. Maybe Harbaugh, John Harbaugh, will somehow bring him over to the Giants.

    135. Yeah. Because obviously he knows that kid intimately from coaching him the last couple years.

    136. Yeah. And especially with the great running back from Notre Dame this year, somebody's going to take him a lot. I got a call from a good friend of yours and mine, I won't mention his name.

    137. >> [clears throat] >> He's a pastor sort of. Anyway, he's he was telling me, he goes, running back's not going to go that high, Pete, don't worry about it. I go, let me tell you something, I don't know what the heck you're talking about, but if this kid doesn't go somewhere in the top five, I would be stunned. And if he's not in the top 10, then everybody's lost their minds because, you know what,

    138. he might be one of the best running backs I've seen in a while. And maybe even better than the Heisman Trophy winner the previous year that's with the Vegas Raiders.

    139. I I like that kid a lot, but let me tell you something, Notre Dame has found two run, not one, but two running backs. And the number one running back is about as special as it gets. How about this, John? Aaron Rodgers.

    140. He was maybe going to go to the Vikings.

    141. So, I already mentioned 42 years old. I think he still wants to play. I think he's engaged to want to play. I just haven't figured out what it is that they want to do with them. And maybe the Vikings didn't really want to go that route because, you know, they signed somebody else who's a lot younger than that.

    142. So, maybe they figured that that's the direction they want to go. So, Aaron Rodgers was looked at by the Vikings, he's looked at by the Colts. The Colts decided, you know what, we're going to pay Daniel Jones the money that we need and we're not going to go anybody else.

    143. We don't need anybody else. This kid proved to us that he's good enough to play. So, does he go back or not to Pittsburgh, John? I mean, his ex head coach is now the head coach there at Pittsburgh. So, that sort of adds up to me.

    144. I'm not sure why that hasn't that transaction hasn't happened yet, but does Aaron Rodgers play this year, number one? And if so, is it going to be Pittsburgh? Cuz it sure seems like that's just like the easiest of them all. I mean, all they did was win their conference. I mean, what the hell?

    145. They lose in the playoffs after that, but nonetheless, it's not like Aaron Rodgers was terrible. He's different, he's older, but I think he can still play.

    146. Yep. Well, he proved that this year that he He still play. Absolutely. He is um, you know, a four-time MVP on top of it. So, I would say uh, I don't know what Pittsburgh does in the draft, Pete.

    147. The draft is basically a month from today. You know, a month from tomorrow it kicks off cuz, you know, we'll get the first rounders, that's all day one.

    148. Then this day two, we get a couple different rounds and then day three it speeds up a little more and that's the final day. But unless uh, Pittsburgh does get a quarterback fairly high, Pete, they probably have to bring Aaron back. Yeah.

    149. And I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him in the uh, in the black and gold again. Yeah. Well, I mean, when you got McCarthy there, it's your it seems like a layup, right? I mean, they were together whether they liked each other or not, they had success at Green Bay.

    150. They had they hit pretty damn well. So, I would think that that would be still something that that's being discussed right now.

    151. Um, and and it's just a matter of time, I think. I think he plays one more year and I think he plays for Pittsburgh. And you know what? If he even plays anything close to last year, he's got a hell of a shot to get a little bit further down once they get to the playoffs if he's healthy.

    152. Yep. Well, I haven't seen him injured. Um, so but like you say, he I'm sure he gets banged up especially at 42, it's different than 32 and a lot different than 22. Yeah.

    153. All right. Thanks, Pete. Yeah, we're going to be back tomorrow, folks, with another Rebel's Edge at 1:00 p.m.
