Welcome back to another exciting week of the Rebels Edge. Pete Nagarian and I will break down for you exactly why the Nasdaq is up nearly 2% today as the S&P rallies better than a 1.2%. We'll have
those answers as well as today's stocks and sports on the Rebels Edge.
>> [music] [music] >> Well, well, well, welcome back, Pete.
>> Welcome back. [laughter] It was a good weekend.
>> Lots to talk about and a lot of interesting games over the weekend, college and pro.
>> Yep. Yep. Awesome. It was a great weekend for college and NFL football.
There's no doubt. I mean, it's a lot of surprises and u and a lot of fun. And as a matter of fact, one of the nice surprises is the market today when we get when we walked in and turned on the computers, all of a sudden you're looking going, "Things look okay." [laughter] >> Yeah. Well, all it takes is a nice three
and a half, 4% drop in crude oil and uh some not bad news out of AI or semiconductors and off to the races.
>> All right.
Let's hit the macro then, Pete. Yeah, stocks are uh moving up after a choppy week last week with the uh Fed announcement and so forth. Um semiconductors and AI related names extending the rebound that they started last uh Friday, Pete.
>> And I guess we're going to be watching for WTI and seeing if we can break 90 maybe. Um not today. I'm not saying that, but if we could do that for the week, Pete, that would continue the bullish activity.
>> Yeah. When you see the crude oil, WTI is down 4% and it's down there hovering around 92 and it's getting closer to what you were just talking about. Can it break through 90? Uh, sure it can. Uh, we'll see if it if it actually happens.
And on top of that, John, it is pretty cool to see the risk on of what's going on with Bitcoin as well. And I know we'll talk about that a little bit as well, but you know, at 86,000 up 6 and a half% or thereabouts, um I would say that Bitcoin and crude oil and the fact that you take a look over uh where we're
going to talk to next, which is the VIX.
The VIX is saying everything about what the markets really look like right now.
>> Yeah. Well, I did uh several broadcasts this weekend, Pete, with Newsmax and our buddy uh Larry Cuddlo. And then this morning even um and uh a lot of the questions were uh well John why is the market up so much? And I said well let
me see um the lowest poverty rate in history the highest wealth in history.
>> Um those are two reasons as well as a million private sector jobs.
>> It's kind of hard to dismiss all three of those. And then you could point to what's been going on with uh uh the uh markets which the Dow is up 12%, NASDAQ up 17% year to date. It's really hard for people to sell the idea that things
aren't good. Even though they do try to sell that every day on TV, people, >> it's amazing to me, John. I mean, you go in there expecting to talk about how strong the markets are and then somebody wants to say, "Yeah, but yeah, but yeah, but the problem is they have no answer to the yeah, but [laughter]
because the reality is u when you look at the real numbers, the real numbers say it all like you said. I mean, we're now there are some areas of the market that have been a little bit tough. We all know that. I mean, crude oil, obviously, we know what's going on. Why is that?" Well, all you got to do is look over at the street of Harmuz and you you can get those answers or
whatever. But, uh, I'm looking at that volatility index which also says it all.
It cannot get up towards 18, John, without pulling back almost immediately.
So, um, looking at that, last Wednesday we were at 18. Where are we today? Well, we're in the very low 13s. So, it gives you a little bit of an idea that, hey guys, uh, actually 14s, sorry. But it is amazing to see that when we're seeing that the VIX is actually down 13%. And it it's like, well, a lot of people
would say, well, how can it be doing that? Well, it can be doing that because we have had a lot of good news. We've had our earnings, we went through the the jobs reports and everything else.
And for the most part, u I would say that check mark, check mark, check mark.
Things are looking much better than a lot of people want to say it looks like right now. There's no doubt.
Well, let's hit a prediction market thing because this kind of leads into it too, Pete. These are uh people on Kelshi that uh were, as you can see from the far left side of that graph, betting that after uh we invaded Iran, we were
going to see gasoline prices over $5.50.
Never happened. In fact, the highest we've got this year, unless you're living in California, and God help you if you are. Um the uh the highest it's been average uh rates that every single day, Pete, the highest it's been is 451.
So, we've been coming down, down, down as far as uh crude oil. And now the bets are that gasoline prices are going to keep coming down, at least according to Cal. Mhm. Yeah, that's going to be pretty interesting, John. Um, it all is just dependent. You and I both know it.
I mean, it's it's what does it look like, you know, how are things o over there with Iran? What does it look like in terms of the movement of crude and all the rest of it? And so, you know what? Yeah, there are days where it pops up there pretty good. And there's all also those days where it pulls back. And you know what? We we're on a pullback mo moment now. And it's pretty interesting
to watch. You know, it's pretty rapid quite frankly. a 4% move to the downside in a single day. If they can follow this up at all, um, and we get towards what you said, John, just maybe it's a flat 90, those prices at the pump better move as fast when we were going down as they did when it's going up. That's all I can
tell you because otherwise these guys are ripping us off, man.
>> Yeah. Well, they are. And uh, it will never go down as fast as it goes up.
Just doesn't happen, folks.
>> And there's a whole bunch of reasons.
Not all of them are nefarious, but yeah, at least one of them is, you know, they they bought the crude oil, they refined it, and then by the time they bring it to market, if prices are down, they still paid the higher price to get it to market.
>> Anyway, >> let's take a look at uh what's behind me, which is of course Circa. Uh we're going to be out in Vegas, folks, and you can learn how to protect and grow your wealth like a pro. um that lineup, you know, with Grant Cardone and Steve
Graasso and Scott Redler, uh couple of uh big high-profile guys in pro football other than my brother, other than Pete, [laughter] um Doug Fluty, Heisman Award winner, Lonnie Paxton, uh three Super Bowl rings, uh center uh with the uh Patriots
for Brady and so forth. There's a lot of stuff you guys could pick up. I encourage you to sign up before it sells out. We've got hundreds of folks signed up already. If you'd like to join us, by all means, scan that QR code and you could be sitting right in the audience
with us um enjoying and uh being a better educated investor about all things investing. It's not just a an options boot camp. It's stocks, it's options, it's futures, it's Bitcoin, it's miners, it's quantum, it's everything. Entrepreneurs. So, make sure
you check it out and uh we hope we see you there. All right. Coinbase, Pete.
>> Yeah.
>> Now, you said it right at the top of the show. Hey, with Bitcoin moving through 96 86,000, and indeed it has, Pete, um the SEC did grant that five-year innovation exemption. So, it's not the same as a uh Clarity Act passing, but
this kind of enduns the Clarity Act, Pete, because they gave him five years um for them to tokenize stocks and a whole bunch of other stuff, which is pretty darn interesting. And there was unusual activity in this name. People are out there going, "Really?" Yep.
[laughter] Right there, folks.
$30 ago when the stock or when Coinbase was trading 177. How long ago is that?
Well, that was what, Wednesday before uh uh 911. It was trading at 177. Where is it now? 205, 30 bucks higher.
>> So, there you got a little look at it.
um you want to make some money trading uh some of those cryptos and the surrogates for Bitcoin or Ethereum or Salana, well, you should be a subscriber.
>> Yeah, absolutely. I mean, the unusual says it all. I mean, we look at Coinbase, it's been up as much as 6%. I think it's off of that high right now, John. But the other thing is analysts are really ve very much interested in this whole world. And then whether it's Goldman Sachs or Morgan Stanley or NEM, they're all starting to move up those
those targets. There's raising them up to 200 all the way to 250. So, um, they don't think it's over. They think there's still a little something left out of this Bitcoin. And maybe we get into the, you know, six-digit category.
Once again, we'll see. But the the reality is it's pretty interesting to see how well, you know, Coinbase and and Robin Hood are two of many other names, but two names that seem to move when when we see anything going on with Bitcoin, they seem to be moving in that same direction. Um, it's not perfect.
It's not exact, but it's pretty dagon close. So, I'm looking at Coinbase and and pretty impressed with what they're doing, John, and and and how things are going. And I think that's exactly what a lot of these analysts are looking at as well. They're just looking at it just saying, "Hey, look, Bitcoin's doing this. Uh, Coinbase is going to do that." And it's looking pretty good right now.
>> Well, uh, it is looking pretty good, Pete. And, um, I would say that, uh, we're going to continue to see, um, MSTR and a whole bunch of the other surrogates, RIOT, uh, the people that trade those in lie of, uh, trading Bitcoin itself, they
trade a lot of those derivatives. And uh I think they're making some coin today.
>> All right, let's talk about Intel because we also had some unusual activity in Intel, Pete. So Intel uh rallying on reports uh that they have talks going on with the largest semiconductor company in uh Korea, which
is SKH Heinix. and they want to use Intel's Ohio FABS for US memory production, which is great uh that they might be using that to uh make their chips instead of making them over in uh uh South Korea and so forth. This would
be fabulous. Well, the unusual activity showed up like this was 110 um just last uh I guess that would be Thursday last week, Pete. It was 110. Today, $10 higher. It's uh $12.28
higher than the close. I realize that, but $10 higher than where it was um Thursday of last week. Fabulous performance. By the way, if you scan that QR code on the screen, folks, it'll take you to where you could subscribe to what Pete and I and all of our uh great
uh editors put out every day. But, uh, this is, uh, an an option that expires this Friday, Pete.
>> I mean, so those right there, those, uh, 25th of September, 114 calls. Well, now they're what, seven bucks in the money.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh, probably trading like around eight, eight bucks or more at times. And, uh, that's pretty nice trade. It's nearly a triple for your money. What did you think of this move, Pete?
>> Yeah, pretty impressive. And and I'm not uh not shocked by the move at all, John.
I mean, there's been strong volumes.
It's there's breakouts going on. There's high volatility going on as well. I mean, these are very very volatile markets. And when you get into some of these chip names, including Intel, Intel used to be a pretty passive, you know, sort of a stock. And it's not anymore.
It has become a lot more volatile. And I and I I mean that in a good way. I mean, I think it gives us great opportunities.
We talk about memory production and this and that and the utilization of things, but I think that this high volatility that's there. Um, it does cause that to have implied volatilities that are a little bit inflated too. So that, you know, maybe some of those options cost a little more than they did. But when you're as right as these guys were on this trade, John, uh, I I think you're
willing to look past that because there's the chart. gives you a great example of just how fast this thing took off basically from the time those options traded until today. And they still have the rest of the week. But I would personally I would say, you know what, this thing's done pretty well so far. I think I'm going to take some of it off. Everybody's going to have their
own thing. That's the discipline that you have that I have, John. And you know, one last thing is there's some price targets here as well that people are raising up for Intel. So there's a lot going on I think within Intel and this deal with Heinix and so forth. So it could be very very interesting into the future. And Intel is alive. It is
alive.
>> Yeah. Oh boy is it ever. Um keep in mind folks that the president got us uh what 8 million shares at uh uh or actually many more million shares than that. I think the investment was $8 billion, but uh at 20 bucks a share.
>> Wow.
>> Yeah, it's pretty.
>> All right. What about Greenland Mines, Pete? Talking about a good trade. Um the uh US and Denmark, uh which doesn't own Greenland, but they have uh long had a relationship with Greenland. Uh Greenland has a little bit of self-determination
and uh they'd like to maintain that.
Well, the they basically agreed with the president to give Washington greater control over the island's minerals and blocked rival nations from getting access to those same minerals. Those rival nations, by the way, folks, would
be uh uh China and Russia and uh also put up another base there. So, this caused GRML shares to just pop to the upside by over 260%.
So, um you you can see it came down when it didn't look like they were going to get a deal. Now that they've got a deal, it's up and I imagine it could go back and I'm not saying it test 36 or whatever the high was, Pete, but I think it could go a lot higher than uh just the 10 or 11 that it hit today. Yeah, I
was still like taking a look at it, John, because it's it is amazing. And you're right. I mean, right now, this moment, it's 255%.
So, yeah, to say to say that it's moving is uh it's probably not saying at all. I mean, it's it is a monstrous move. It's really really impressive. And, you know, Greenland Greenland Mines and there's a couple other names out there that are also moving pretty strong to the upside.
I mean, this deal um with Washington is is fantastic. Obviously, it's extreme.
There's volatility involved. There's sharp reversals. So, I would say this, if somebody was fortunate enough to have a little bit of a piece of this one, John, might might not be the worst thing in the world to maybe take a little something off. [laughter] But, um, but everybody's got different risk tolerance, so it'll be pretty interesting to see. But, yeah, this
thing's been as high today as well over 11 at 1170 and now it's pulled back a little bit. But that's exactly why you and I always try to tell people whether it's a stock or an options when when things go really really well, ridiculously well, they've they've doubled or whatever. Um I think that's a time where you've got to step back and
say, "All right, so what do I think and what do I want to do from here?" Because the stock's almost a full buck and a half lower right this moment than it was already today. And it's early in the day. So interesting to see but very impressive with all anything connected to that part of the world right now in the mineral space. Uh they're doing
pretty well.
>> Yeah. And it's always good idea to uh be talking about discipline because those are the people that hang around longer folks and make money consistently are the disciplined people. Um all right Pete. Uh let's hit one more TLX. Uh this is radio pharmarmacology.
And some of you are going to go, "Radio?
What?" Uh, yeah. This is an Australian-based company um that does uh basically uh commercial commercialization, easy for him to say, and therapeutic and diagnostic radio pharmarmacology.
And uh they're doing a deal, it seems, Pete, very likely that could cause the stock to be worth a lot more. I mean, Friday it closed at $1259.
Um, it broke below that close and tested down to the $11 range. And, uh, I think it's going to be interesting to watch and see how people decide to either a jump on this potential uh, for these two
companies or shy away from it, Pete.
Because right now, I think the shying away side is winning. It's down about 10% on the day.
>> Yeah. And this this is a stock, as you pointed out, it was well over 11. It was over 1150. Um the 52- week high is 13.
The close last week was 1259.
And yet the results that we're seeing today are pressure on the downside, and it seems like it's getting a little bit further, a little bit further each moment. Now down about 10%. So, it's interesting, John. They've got all kinds of different things, new new treatments for cancer and so forth. So, you know, kudos to them for going into that world
and doing that and this deal that's going to, like you just said, uh this merger that's going to be a $2.35 billion uh merger. Pretty impressive.
But the stock is all the way down as you very close. It's not It's not at the 52- week low, though. 52- week low is in the $6 range. So, it's still well above that. But this is one of those where um I don't think you want to be chasing this thing around too much because it seems to have plenty of volatility like
we talked about with some of the other names today. Intel being one of them.
Volatility is going up up up in certain names for all the right reasons. The movement and the understanding of what this is going to mean into the future.
And I think that's where people they like it. They like what's happening with the merger, but um there might be some time frames that that it takes to change things around a little bit. And I think that's probably why it's down 10% right now.
>> I bet you're right. Uh I I think a lot of people are thinking that same way, Pete. All right. Um let's take a look at a uh a Joe Burrow clone. Maybe Pete.
[laughter] >> Um I mean Joe had a great day yesterday.
Yep.
>> Um he was finding Jamar Chase frequently >> and uh uh the the kid is just a stud and he has put up with a lot of injuries too. um Joe Burrow has, but >> he started at Ohio State and ended up having to transfer to LSU and became the
Heisman Award winner.
>> Um I'm sure to Ohio State's chagrin. So, how about this kid, Pete? Let's take a look at a kid that was playing football at Louisville after he transferred from Ohio State and see what you guys think.
fully certain that we are living in a simul.
>> This man [laughter] is the next Joe Burrow because back in 2016, Joe Burrow committed to Ohio State where he rode the bench for a few years without even getting a single start before transferring to LSU. And in his fourth year in college, he became a good This is Louisville quarterback Lincoln Keenhold. And in 2023, bro also
committed to Ohio State. also rode the bench there for a few years without even getting a single start and then also transferred to a different school. Well, guess what? Bro is also now in his fourth year in college. And as you saw yesterday, this man is becoming a star.
Take another look.
>> He's the reason Louisville's ranked where they are. [laughter] >> 40 yards in the air, right on the money.
And by the way, if you like elite college football content like this, [laughter] they follow. But now it's the fourth quarter and the game's on the line and Bo knows if he wants to take down 16th ranked SMU, he can't give Kevin Jennings a chance to beat him. So just watch [music] where he puts this
bowl. [laughter] Yesterday Keenholds had three more touchdowns leading the Louisville offense to 41 points.
>> Louisville's a team, man. They SMU in his first three games. They've done a lot of things to really really improve improve their program and they have.
They've done a great job.
>> Just like Burrow, sometimes all a man needs is an opportunity.
[laughter] >> So true, right?
>> Yeah.
>> And he took advantage, full advantage of it.
>> Absolutely. Um John, we we we talked about this last week and so we just got to follow it up because last week we were talking about all right this LSU game against Old Miss. So, just to bring LSU back into the fold here, um it's a it was a it was a great game, number seven against number eight. It was really really impressive what uh what
they were able to do. Now, the difference in the game was LSU did a great job rushing with the football. Uh Old Miss, on the other hand, did not even try really to to rush the football.
They just decided to throw it. Threw for 363 yards. So that quarterback is special I think uh for Old Miss and I think there was just enough. It was a home game. It was all of the things that you know we knew were going to be there for the game and it was absolutely
extraordinary. Was a great game. It it it had its moments and so forth, but uh Old Miss came through and you know what I think that LSU team still has opportunities in front of them, but uh looking at Old Miss, John, they looked great. that not only was it the quarterback, but the offensive line, their defensive line, they got in the
face of the quarterback pretty well for LSU. And it u I thought it was one of the better games of the entire weekend, just like we thought going in and it lived up to that. Wasn't a blowout. It wasn't boring. It was exciting. It was great. But um I got a couple other things for you, John. I got two other uh teams that I think we just need to
discuss for a second. One of them is Utah. That is a new sleeper because Utah now is in the Big 12. They are 3-0. They got a quarterback who is absolutely magnificent so far. He's got seven touchdowns, one interception, a 72% completion rate. He's run in the ball
himself for two touchdowns as well. They got a running game that's great. They've got a couple of running game giving backs that together average six yards a carry, 10 touchdowns. Not so bad. So, I would say that Utah right now, you know, that their their coach left and went to Michigan and they don't they haven't
missed a beat. I mean, these guys are still balling and I I know they're ranked 15, so it's not like they're this is the most distant sleeper ever, but these guys are probably a lot better than top 15. They're they probably ought to be somewhere in the top 10. And at some point, they might get there if they continue to play like they have. And and
and it'll be pretty interesting. But so I've got that one for you, John. The sleeper for me is Utah. You might have your sleeper. I'll just throw one other thing at you. USC is now 4-0. USC is playing pretty good football, but the problem is they haven't played anybody.
Uh so we're going to find out a little bit more. Now Oregon's not quite as great as we maybe thought coming into this year. still a great program, still a top, you know, whatever 10 team and all the rest of it, but uh this will be the first real game for USC. And I think that one is going to be interesting
because Oregon now has dropped all the way to number 20. And you know, SC with a 4-0 record and some great players. One of them's a great big defensive end that they signed. I think he was the top defensive end in uh high school football coming out when he went to USC and committed there. He starts for them and the kid is as good as anybody in the
country right now. So, we've got a lot of things going on in college football.
John, any What's your sleeper? First of all, let's uh what do you do? You got somebody out there that you think really could be there? All right. Who do you got?
>> I was watching Florida, Pete, and Florida just, you know, uh they whoever they play, they don't have an answer for what Florida's got.
>> Yeah, >> Florida's got some uh you know, it's like a track meet out there. Um they are very very good. Um Mississippi State as you know.
>> Yeah.
>> Watching them in person. Um Mississippi State and you know Campbell this is his first year at Penn State.
>> Yeah.
>> But Penn State they're three and 0.
They're tough and uh they've got a chip on their shoulder I think Pete.
>> Yeah. So, uh, I'd say those three teams could be right up there with, uh, Utah and, uh, but I don't disagree with your Utah pick at all because those are big, mean kids.
>> Yeah.
>> You know, Utah's been known for that.
Um, you know, there are just some beasts out there that they get recruited. you know, they get the Tongans and the Hawaiians and all the rest because of their proximity to the West Coast and their uh they've got a pretty good um feeder system, if you will. Yeah.
>> From uh you know, the uh Hawaiian Islands and the uh islands. They get a lot of Islanders playing at Utah. And it doesn't hurt that, you know, a lot of Mormons go to Utah, not just BYU. And so they've kind of spread the word, if you will.
>> And that's another team, BYU. you know, they often time get looked over and it's like, "Hey, man, these guys play damn good football." [laughter] They really do. So, yeah, I' I'd even sneak those guys in there. How about in the NFL, John? Well, here's the biggest surprise to me. And And you're going to go, "What do you mean surprise? These guys won the Super Bowl last year." Yeah, I'm talking
about Seattle. Seattle lost what? Their offensive coordinator. I think they lost a couple of coaches. Uh offensive coordinator went to Las Vegas. Um >> who's 2 and 0, by the way. two and 0 for their for your Raiders.
>> Yep. Yep. And and how about this? So, who's the quarterback for them? Well, of course, it's the guy who played in the Super Bowl, right? No, he got hurt in the very first couple of plays, you know, in this first game. And so, all of a sudden, Sam Darnold's out. Drew Lock is in. You know what Drew Lock has done?
Here's all he's done so far. 73% in uh completion, 422 yards, four touchdowns, zero interceptions. They got a great offensive line, which is what helped Sam Darnold last year, too, John. They they don't care where they find their lineman, but they find their lineman.
They got kids from North Dakota, all, you know, they don't care if it's D1 or if it's, you know, D1, double A, whatever. It's absolutely they they get the best players out there and they do a great job with that. Which is why I think when you look at them, they lost a great running back, right? He went to Kansas City and if anybody was watching
the game last night, he's unbelievable.
He is absolutely unbelievable. However, the kid who decides to come out of Notre Dame, this Jadarian Price, uh between he and Emanuel Wilson, John, they're averaging about four and a half a carry.
they are pounding it right at everybody which is what helps the quarterback because once you have a running game the quarterback has freedom to be able to throw the ball a lot easier. So it's really interesting they lost Kenneth Walker you know the third and and you've got Kubak is down there at Las Vegas and
all these guys do is is win not so bad but here's the other last one I got for you as a surprise Tampa. What the hell is wrong with Tampa [laughter] right now? I mean, Baker, here's his numbers, John. One touchdown, one interception.
He's been sacked seven times. That does tell me that there's an issue with the offensive line, however. We thought coming in, the offensive line looks good. They've got good tight end.
They've got some good running backs there, some good receivers. They lost a a really good one to San Francisco, but, you know, they still looked like a team, I think, that was ready to rock and roll. Well, they ain't rocking and they ain't rolling yet, John, down in Tampa.
And it I feel pretty bad for him. You know who the quarterback on the other side of the ball was? The guy that everybody ripped a new butt on when he got chosen to be the guy for this week.
Deshawn Watson.
Here was his numbers. 24 of 30 for 225.
That pretty damn good numbers for a guy that every analyst out there said he stinks. He doesn't deserve to be there.
I'm not I'm neutral. I had no, you know, feeling on this one. But I'll tell you what, um, maybe he is a little bit better than a lot of people were trying to say he was because Tampa's defense is always good and he ripped him apart. And and I I'll tell you what, if he manages to do that a few more times, maybe
Cleveland's not as bad as everybody thinks they are. I guess time will tell.
Well, I would uh say, Pete, that uh the only team that looks like their offense is terrible um because of their offensive line, I don't know if it's the scheme because I can't believe that the team would turn this bad this fast, but the Pittsburgh Steelers, I don't know if
you saw any of that, but Aaron Rodgers, it was like he was getting hit every single play. It was worse than Mahomes in the Super Bowl a couple years ago. he was just getting throttled every play and it the result was um uh
interceptions and fumbles uh because they're strip sacking him right and left and it's like >> I don't know you know who the offensive line coach andor the running back's coach is because they tried to keep running backs in to give him a little defense Pete right
>> but it just wasn't working that it was a jailbreak on that guy every single pass.
They looked terrible and I think they lost like 20-3 >> and it wasn't even that close.
>> And that was New England.
>> Was Aaron having to run all over the place or how did that look? [laughter] >> He's scrambling to try to get out of the pocket and guys are like draped all over him and strip sacking him. I mean, it was ugly. And if they keep that up, that team's toast in a couple game in a couple more games.
>> Yeah, because I'll tell you what, Aaron Rogers, you know, people can say what they want. They don't understand he's in great shape. He's in a phenomenal shape.
But it doesn't matter to the point of how old is he? Well, he's getting pretty old for a guy in the NFL. And I'll tell you what, you take a lot of hits, John, he's he's probably gonna say, "Hey, I need a day off or a week off or a couple weeks off or something because he's not going to want to be back there if it's a
jailbreak every single time he goes back to throw the football." And then Pete, the saddest thing of course was our Bears.
>> Um, you know, seeing Caleb Williams go down. Yeah. And seeing it look bad as bad as it did when he went down.
>> You know, at first they said, "Oh, yeah, hamstring." Then they said, "Maybe it popped his hip." And then, "Oh no, maybe it's his knee." And it's like, "Oh my god, the kid's probably done for the year, Pete." And that's that's really tough for the Bears. I know Ben Johnson
will reload as best he can, but you can't just find another Caleb in uh second team or third team quarterbacks.
>> No. And they had to go to the young man who uh has a great story, but u he did not look like an NFL quarterback, at least that in that game when he had to go in. Let's be honest, too. Rain, terrible weather. It it couldn't have been worse. And you know what the craziest part about that injury, John,
when I was watching it, um, he didn't even actually get hit. The guy from Minnesota, the Viking jumped and got close to his leg, but he didn't even hit it. The guy, it it just as soon as he hit the ground, it was done. And the poor guys laying there. Caleb was the one guy who actually was doing well. I
mean, he did everything he could, but it was a bit of a jailbreak, too. So, I got to give kudos to the Viking D coordinator for calling a really good game against the Bears because the Bears looked like world beaters last week and they just had a terrible first three quarters of that game.
>> Yep. Agreed. It was It was a rough one for the Bear. Duh, Bears.
>> D Bears.
